Modern Western medicine is based primarily on a scientific model that carries a worldview that health is a physical, biochemical condition. However, a biblical understanding of health requires a more holistic approach in that the body, soul and spirit are integrated, and illness can be rooted in disorder in any of these three areas.

Proverbs 4:20-23 ‘My son, give attention to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart; for they are life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh. Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life’.

Transformation Health Network seeks to bring healing to individuals, communities, and nations through establishing systems of healthcare that address the true nature of man as Body, Soul and Spirit. We are developing models of ‘whole person’ healthcare that combine the best of medical care, counseling and social services with principles of Christian compassion. We seek to establish clinics, healthcare facilities and systems of healthcare that model the integration of high quality scientific medicine with prayer, emotional healing, and social support all over the world. We are seeing this vision taking off through our clinics that are established on the Big Island of Hawai’i and in the Kurdish region of Northern Iraq.

Aloha Kona Urgent Care clinic provides full service, whole person care to the area of KailuaKona on the Big Island of Hawai’i. Driven by the need for after hours care in the area, the clinic was established to see that residents and visitors of Kona receive the personalized care and attention needed quickly. Along side providing care for the community, Aloha Kona Urgent Care provides experiential training for professionals seeking to learn and implement whole person care around the world.

In the region of Northern Iraq, a team with Transformation Health Network is working to assist the University of Kurdistan Hewler to establish a Family Medicine Program and to develop the faculty clinics for the school. We are also exploring ways to help strengthen the University Hospital. This is done through volunteer workers who have been teaching and training with the Department of Health and the University.
